Ask for his favorite scripture. I do that with some of the athletes I get signed.

These here are your best options that cliffjmp33 mentioned.

I wouldn't put things like youngest to 500hr or 600hr unless he accomplihsed those feats while with the Rangers. Which he didn't.

Things like "MVP" and if you can narrow down the year the bat was used something like "2003 Game Used" etc.....

I would suggest you think again about having him personalize the autograph. As you point out, if its personalized the ability to sell it later is pretty low. However, with so many ARod autographs out there now I wouldn't count on it bringing a lot of money if you tried to sell it later. At a team signing when he was with the Rangers he personalized a game used bat of his I had him sign. I had heard that he personalized game used items so you couldn't sell it later. Which was fine with me. I now have one of his bats signed to me and plan to keep it. If it simply had his autograph I doubt I could sell it for any grreat amount of money. I would much rather have a personalized bat from a star player, which is rather rare to have, than a bat with his autograph I could sell, but that is a decision for each individaul to make depending on how much a personalization would mean to them.

Id would be great to get a report of your opinion of him after meeting him in that sort of setting. My guess is it will be different than those who know him only in the media or at a staged signing.

    Still not sure.
    i like that idea.

is he doing a signing or you going to get it signed at the ballpark. just weary if he is signing this with many people asking at the same time. it might be a rushed sig in a crowd of fans.
