In the end, I agree he was most deserving, but cannot help to think about what could have been for Ubaldo Jimenez, who had a staggering 15 wins at the All-Star break but was unable to get much going in the 2nd half.

noone else was even close. so far the writers have done the right thing with the awards.

I agree, he would have gotten my vote. And while the post season is not supposed to be considered for the award, the fact that he pitched a no hitter in the playoffs after pitching a perfect game in the regular season shows what kind of a year he had.
