This was nothing other than a NY reporter just stirring the pot and saying that the Yanks had internal discussions regarding him, which they have regarding every potential free agent.

The chances of this happening were eliminated once Russell Martin signed with the Yanks because Posada will assume full-time DH duties (along with A-Rod for a spell). Tampa certainly appears to be the best fit for him, but they are not spending any money so who knows.

Even if those damn crank "Yankee"rs got to the WS this past season they would have been no match for the Giants! If I were in charge i would fire Brian Cashman and pray to the high and mighty Pat Gillick to resuce them. Long live a POWERFUL National League!
