One of the earliest styles was (I think) from 1994. A pre-season exhibition series (pre-interleague play) between the Giants and A's had home and road uniforms for a home and home series designed after the old PCL San Francisco Seals and Oakland Oaks. The Giants only wore them once each for the two Bay Area exhibitions, while the A's wore the homes only once and the road version twice, including a PCL themed regular season TBTC game in Seattle.

A few years back they had some Cream Flannel TBTC circa early 1900s they used vs the Giants who used black flannel NY Giants, They sold at fan fest, I had a few of each,Paul

from 54-60, they wore uniforms that had red and blue. i want to know when the A's wore unis like this? i picked up a piece and am trying to find out when they wore it and pics for matching.

I am pretty sure this was featured on a July 4 game back in 1999, 2001 and or 2002. The A's changed colors to commemerate Independence Day. Green and gold was replaced with blue and red. USA flags were on the sleeves of the jerseys. I have a jersey from the 1999 game.

Any hints as to who may have worn it?

it has use but no signs of numbers or names. it is dated 10/98 so obvious it was used in 99 and later, but when? will you post a pic of the jersey?
the person i bought ift from said he bought it sometime in the early 2000's, so perhaps it is from 01 or 02.
i am in dire need to find photos and see more items like this.

From 2000 Fleer...game definitely played 7/4/99,would love to find Giambi's jersey from that day since it was the day I got married!

Without having my Giambi helmets in front of me,I believe he's a 7 3/4 helmet.Ill let you know for sure tonight.

7 and 1/4 is the correct size for Giambi since at least 1998.I have one from 95-96 that's a 7 and 1/8,but that's the only one that varies from the 7 and 1/4 size thru 2010.
