We must be around the same age. Your SI cover reminds me of my college roommate's grandma. Although I never met her in person we always referred to her as Grandma Penn State. She was a huge Nittany Lions fan and booster. He had a picture of her with a hat on that said "Penn State will have Miami by the Testaverdes". After they beat Miami she sent my roommate a hat that played the Penn State fight song if you pushed a button under the brim. I hated that damn hat!!

Your roommates Grandma was hilarious! I would have loved that hat she wore, or the one with our schools fight song!

Ironically, even though I went to PSU for my first degree and bleed blue and white, one of my best friends from college was a huge Georgia Tech fan...so go figure. Guess attending a school does not automatically make everyone a fan; but since my Dad was a huge Joe PA and Nittany Lions fan long before I ever took a class at PSU, it was easy for me.

So, I see three potential reasons, which may all be wrong.

1) Is that an Oriole in your front pocket, Cal, or are you happy to be "pointing" to into '96?

2) Biggest jerks just happens to be above Roberto Alomar's picture?

3) No JR. in Cal Ripken Jr.'s name?
