    Re: Question about shipping

Use a measuring tape to get the dimensions, then weigh the frames on a scale. Call UPS, FedEx, etc. and they should be able to give a quote over the phone (have both zip codes handy). What often gets decided is that the jersey, or whatever is inside the frame, gets taken out and shipped frame-less. Unless these frames are really nice and expensive, they may not be worth shipping them at all.

I've also heard of people using cross-country freight trucking companies for really large items (arcade games, engines, etc.), but I'm not sure how that works.

I'd agree with gnishiyama...probably UPS or FedEx would be the cheapest option.

Make sure you pack them well. Everyone else is shipping their large/heavy items with these carriers as well. I've had a number of UPS packages beat to shit when they arrive.

    Re: Question about shipping

It depends on how large, but the most economical way to
ship something large, safely is UPS Ground. It has tracking and
$100 insurance at no additional cost. I'm sure FedEx Ground is
comparable but I never used them.
