I spent a year at a college outside of Boston but then changed directions and headed back to the West Coast.

My wife and I grew up in Boston suburbs and moved to NC in 2005. In Richmond now since July. I spent my first 45 years in MA. Nothing beats the Maine coast IMHO.

I spent 20 really happy years in New England -- Portland, Maine. Used to hit the Red Sox all the time. Once I drove all the way down to see Luis Tiant pitch opening day. I got on Storrow Drive and heard on the radio that it was too cold to play. So I turned around and when home. No problem. Boston is a piece of heaven -- Maine is the rest of it.
