I assume the 16 year old girl didn't have an inkling to begin with, but nice to see she was compensated and the Panthers are sending her something as well. I don't envy the equipment manager.

Re: Panther Fan Gives Back Newton's Record-Setting TD Ball
I watched the game and Jim Mora made a point of it right away on the broadcast stating that ball should be in the hall of fame.
A kicking tee, a game ball and four hats for the exchange?
Lame.
The Panthers better send her a game used Newton jersey, not some blah signed authentic jersey. -

Nice to see a true fan acting like one. How many people would have held out for season tickets, boatloads of goodies, and God knows what? Yes, the team and players have tons of money - we get that; that's no excuse for acting like a greedy jackass. The girl has class.Jeff

Re: Panther Fan Gives Back Newton's Record-Setting TD Ball
Did the equipment manager take advantage of a minor??? Just throwing it out there... I'm curious if the dad agreed to the exchange.
Heck at the memorabilia store we used to require parent approval on any trade with a minor and the minors never had anything worth more than a couple hundred bucks at most.sigpic
