Umpire, Harry Wendelstedt who umpired in the Majors Leagues for 33 years, including five World Series, seven NLCS & four All Star Games died today at age 73.
I own one of Harry's NL ump jackets from the 70's/80's... HUGE jacket.
He's one of those umpires who was a memorable part of baseball for a long enough time (and his umpire school has trained a number of current umps going back to the 70's) he probably deserves a spot in the HOF.
