The Creeper dies at age 72
Ed Stroud, a speedy outfielder also known as the Creeper, died on July 2 at age 72.
Stroud played for 6 seasons in the American League. His main stop was Washington, where he played with the expansion Senators after a mid-1967 trade from the White Sox to DC. He bookended his Senators stint with a begiining (1966-67) and ending (1971) in Chicago.
