I saw that the Gray Flannel Babe Ruth autographed baseball went for $250, 640. Since it is the ball that Ruth autographed for the sick little boy promising to hit a home run for him, and then did hit the home run, and is actually a true story I thought it might go for more money. The ball comes from the boy's family and is absolutely authentic. It's probably Ruth's most famous autograph and while $250,000 is a lot of money another Ruth autograph went for over $300,000 that didn't have anything like the story that went with this one. I guess you can never tell what something will bring at an auction.
