Any of you guys collect baseball DVDs too?

If so, looks like a real cool DVD came out today. Perhaps you guys already know about it, but just to be sure, its a DVD about the 1967 Red Sox. Apparently the documentary is so-so, but the best part is it includes a complete late-season game against the Twins in color! Can't wait to watch that one.
Also, Home Run Derby is finally coming out in DVD in three installments. Volume one is due out in early July with volume 2 and 3 each following about a month after each previous release.

    Mike,

Any idea where I can get a copy of the 2006 All-Star game on dvd or vhs?

      Hi Jimmie,
I sure don't have it. Maybe someone here will see your post and respond.

I have a few and I love them. I'm frustrated that they don't have more MLB dvds for sale. Classic games, all-star games and the like. I don't know of anyplace to get that kind of stuff. Does anyone else have any hookups.

I have one called "When it was a game" - one of the best videos I've ever watched.

Ebay is always a great place to find unique games that people recorded and burned.

MLB in the last few years has figured out that supplying old games can be a cash cow. They along with A&E have released some World Series boxsets. 1975, 1977,1979, 1986, AND 1987. These sets have the complete, uncut games, some are missing a little action, like the 75 set. The 77 set includes game 5 of the ALCS, the 86 set includes game 6 of the NLCS.

Along with the 1967 disc, which is in amazing quality, the Phillies released a set a few years back on the Vet, and Game 6 of the 1980 WS, and Game 5 of that year's NLCS, it's the feed from the Philly TV station. The Brewers have also put out a disc, covering the 1982 season, and the complete Game 5 of that years ALCS.

You can find games on occasion on Ebay, or Ioffer. Ebay really cracked down because of copyright violations. If you're looking for high quality, it's better to find a tape trading board. I believe private collector's have gotten the 1968 and 1969 and 1970 World Series' together in complete form. Some of the feeds are from the network truck, some from the CBC. Most of these guys will trade for blank media, which is helpful when first starting out.
