Makes me think the voters will have to go old school.
Maybe guys like Bert Blyleven, Jack Morris, and Jim Rice will get in.
and Goose Gossage or Lee Smith.

That list represents a SERIOUS lack of quality HOF caliber players. Rickey Henderson stands out like a diamond in a goats ass.

To me it is hard to not justify Andre Dawson and Don Mattingly

But the fact that Ryne Sandberg wasn't a first ballot blows my mind

I can only see Ricky Henderson and Barry Larkin getting in. Like mentioned above this would be a great time for the older guys to get voted in.

Rickey Henderson and Palmero seem like the only ones truly deserving. As to the older players, I can't see Jack Morris being in there.

Here is a list of players that are eligible next year and beyond:
2008: A case could be made for Tim Raines, but that's marginal at best
                  2009: Rickey Henderson
2010: Roberto Alomar, Barry Larkin. Edgar Martinez would be a test case as a DH
                  2011: Jeff Bagwell
                  2012: none thus far
Looking for Duane Kuiper home run baseballs

I would have to say Ted Simmons and Dale Murphy should be in the Hall Of Fame!!
