After a review and evaluation of available resource material, including the date of the order and the subsequent date of manufacture, it is possible that this bat was one of the bats manufactured by The Original Maple Bat Company (SAM Bats) for the use of Derek Jeter, but ordered by another individual without Jeter's knowledge or authorization, and with the intent of defrauding collectors. As a result, this bat has been removed from the auction as we would rather err on the side of caution.
