I'm very intersested in this jersey, but am having a hard time photomatching and placing it in the 2006 year. The lot description even says the inside tagging is from a different year, but this is normal. I'm not an NFL jersey collector, so I am taking GUU's word here!

Considering this is a road white jersey, it can only come from one of the following road games that year:
9/11 - at Oakland
10/1 - at Baltimore
10/15 - at San Francisco
10/22 - at Kansas City
11/12 - at Cincinnati
11/19 - at Denver
12/3 - at Buffalo
12/24 - at Seattle

The auction jersey shows many blue marks on the jersey and in looking at the Chargers 2006 schedule, the only team I see they played that had blue helmets color were the Broncos. However, all the Getty/etc images I've seen from that game don't match the auctioned jersey markings and/or placements.

Could the jersey have been washed by chance to show less markings? Could the jersey be from a different year?

Ok thanks for the quick update. Yea, I'm not versed at all really in the identifiers of NFL jerseys, so any help is appreciated.

This jersey sold on ebay as recently as October 14th? How did it make it into the auction?

Was it consigned by anyone affiliated with GUU? I believe that Tomlinson was only wearing his custom cut and hemmed jerseys for that year according to photo evidence...

Hello Dave,

Thank you for your post. No, the jersey was not consigned by anyone affiliated with GUU. We were, however, contacted by the consignor very close to the auction start date and they asked if they could still get it in the auction. We explained that our catalog was already set and would not be included in the catalog and they said they still wanted to include the item in the current auction. The jersey was sent to us prior to the auction start. We did the evaluation and, based on the evaluation and the information we received from the consignor, we felt comfortable including it in the auction. As a side note, that is why the jersey was not listed in the catalog and actually appears toward the end of the auction.

As is the case with any item in the auction, if there are any questions we will look into them to see if something may have been overlooked. We are in the process of doing that now and will provide an update as soon as we have more information.

Those are kinda of a rubbery material. Appears in Ebay auction it isn't laid flat, kinda up on it's edge. In GUU auction it is laid flat. A lot of NFL jerseys these can get loose it seems and peel up in places.
Where is RK Gibson or ERIC, those guys know LT jerseys inside out it seems. Would like to hear what they think of this jersey.

We wanted to provide an update on this item. We did additional research on this jersey, including speaking with Eric, and we have pulled the item from the auction. The people who placed bids will be notified that the item has been removed.

We wanted to thank everyone who contributed to the thread in helping us make what we believe is the right decision of removing the jersey from the auction.
