Purpose of the "Items For Sale" Forum

While it's sad that I have to say this, please note that the "Items for Sale" forum is not a venue to advertise your company or promote your website. Specifically, the forum rule in this regard is the following:

No Advertising or Website Promotion. Please do not post any messages anywhere on this site that are primarily for the promotion or advertising of any website, forum, email address, business, multi-level marketing activity or other entity without prior approval from Game Used Universe.

If you would like to offer items on GUU please list them on the site with all necessary information pertaining to those items. Any attempts to promote websites or messages like "we will be meeting with the following players next week and are taking orders..." will be removed. This will include items listed on eBay.

We agree this is a fair request from our members.

If you are offering items for sale of the forum, please make sure you post prices with your item listings going forward. If any items are listed without prices our members will also have the authority to help the moderators make sure this rule is followed.

Great news on the prices having to be posted!!!

Because we taked about it, I know you you feel about being able to edit your posts, but what can be done about people "refreshing" thier for sale posts every day/other day and bringing it back to the top above others who do not keep refreshing thier posts? Pretty soon you might just have people going back and forth a couple times a day to get their post to the top. Most other forums have a 7-10 refresh rule. Hopefully this can also be possible idea down the road

The for sale section has only been up for a few days and already I see a few of the for sale posts have gotten way off topic and are spinning out of control.

I would hate to see the owners change thier minds and take the section away again because of a few misbehavers.

It's great to have the items "For Sale" section back. But it is obvious that some members feel that they don't have to post their prices.

Hopefully, the powers to be will delete those threads and not penailize those of us who DO OBEY the rules by closing the entire "For Sale" section.

Thanks for deleting my post. Sorry I didn't know you were not allowed to list ebay links. Personally I really don't see a problem with it. For one it allows people to see your feedback,etc. It's your site, but there is alot of others with Ebay links posted.

Thank you so much for making it a rule to post prices. I won't editorialize on all the issues that arise from failing to post prices (mostly negative issues), so I will simply say it again - THANK YOU!!!

This is a good idea. I agree. Seems to work well in the Gameworn.net site.
