2001 Cardinals Lineup Card w/ Pujols and Kile

I have an interesting item on eBay right now that I wanted to mention on this forum. Because it's a little out of the ordinary, I fear it might get overlooked (how many people search for lineup cards?). It's a game-used dugout lineup card from a 2001 spring training game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Orioles.

The game was played March 23, 2001, making it one of the earliest Cardinals lineup cards to include the name “Pujols.” Albert started the game that day, batting third and playing left field. Pujols, of course, had a tremendous spring for the Redbirds. He made the trip North and has never looked back, putting up Hall of Fame-worthy numbers during his first five seasons.

The late Darryl Kile also is listed as the game’s starting pitcher. Mark McGwire did not play in the game.

The photo on eBay doesn't show the Orioles lineup, so in case you're wondering, the starters were Anderson, Bordick, Richard, Conine, Gibbons, Mora, Myers, Hairston and Hentgen. Kinkade, Roberts and Kingscale also made it into the game.

This scorecard was purchased at the Cardinals Winter Warmup from Tony LaRussa’s ARF.
