    Bump Rule

In fairness to people listing items on the site, you must allow at minimum five days before "bumping" your thread to the top of the list with any form of update or new posting regarding a previously posted thread.

Once again, we will ask the forum members to help us monitor this rule.

Thank you in advance for your compliance.

Sorry, was unaware. I wasn't intending to bump ahead of anyone. Only to notify what was already sold!

I am 100% in agreement with the Bumping Rule as a Whole , But 5 days ?
I hope the New Forum , lets you "Edit" your posts with-put bumping it so that people can list changes such as "Sold" without bumping the thread.

Plus I think there should be a Rule on How Many Posts a day so it will keep people from making a new post with the same stuff with an exception of an Item being sold left out.

        Re: Bump Rule

The bump rule with other game worn forums I belong to is 7 days with one and 10 days with the other so 5 days on here is pretty fair if you ask me.

Just wanted to make a new post here so everyone can read what the admin says is a 'Bump"

It says ANY form of update. So that includes a price change...Thank you very much!!!!

            Once again any post=bump

              Re: Bump Rule

i personaly think that its a bit extreme to say that ANY form of update is considered a bump. especially when you consider that there isnt an EDIT option.

a price change, status change or reply to a previous post is an exchange of new information. hardly a gratuitous attempt to "bump" the thread to the top.

this doesnt affect me, but the "bump" police seem to be getting a little carried away with it. its not as if it is a wide spread epidemic.

however, its the pettiness of it all (and other things like it) that make it less "fun" to visit and contribute.

              just my two cents.

Agreed. It's beginning to feel like a schoolyard snitch or snitches are more interested in monitoring the behavior of other members, rather than contributing anything of substance or like Don said...just having fun browsing.

I understand rules, but humiliating a member with over 1,000 posts in a "hot" thread that is very visible isn't the greatest way to handle it. It is eventually going to cause those "embarassed posters" to become combattive and quick to judge/make nastygrams to others.

Being allowed the freedom to edit posts (especially in the for sale forum)might be an idea..

Just curious - I am relatively new, but did you guys ever say why editing posts has not been allowed...? Was it abused in the past?

Folks can have regrets about a post and delete or edit it; instead of thinking twice and not posting to begin with.

There has always been an "edit" feature and it is located between our ears.

So basically i can list the same item every day " as i notice some people seem to do" as long as i "EDIT" it to sound different ?

Am I the only person that looks at more than the most recent post? Does it really matter where your post falls in line with the rest of them? I guess I have a little more common sense and intelligence which allows me to look further down the page. Hum!
