Better photos will follow:
This is a 1998 Ray Lankford C243 LS Brown Barrell/Rose handled game issued bat. I was saving this one for an autograph display - but considering Ray Ray has vanished, I am not holding out hope. There are bat rack scrapes - that do nothing to diminish the beauty of this bat. #16 and the weight/length is written in black on the knob and #16 in gold paint pen on the barrell end...uncupped. I am at work, and this photo is all I have until I get home - just trying to get the ball rolling. I will post more photos this evening.
I was watching footage of McGwire's 62nd homer the other day, and Lankford is using a bat exactly like this one is his at bats during that game. There is no MLB stamp on the barrell, and the Louisville Slugger font is the newer, squatty type. If you have questions, I can be reached at
david.patek@mercy.net or
bigtruck260@centurytel.net
I am asking $75 firm
Thanks.
