1911 Boston Red Sox Photo "Red Sox Quartet"

Hi Everyone,

I have for sale an extremely rare 1911 Boston Red Sox photo of the famed "Boston Quartet" that featured Marty McHale, Hugh Bradley, Buck O'Brien, and Billy Lyons.

It is this image that was used on the Boston Quartet button that is shown in the Smithsonian baseball book. The caption says that the button was used to advertise their December 25th, 1911 show.

The picture is in good condtion, but does have some tears, rips, and creases around the edges. The names of the members are written on the back in pencil and there are some notes for cropping the picture. Overall size is 11"x14".

Attached images show the front of the picture as well as the excerpt from the Smithsonian book as well as a closeup of the Red Sox pinback. This picture would look amazing framed and matted period frame.

Asking price is $550 OBO shipped & insured. I did receive a quote of $500-$750 from a very well known member of the hobby.

If you haven't yet, you should post this in the memoribilia section of this forum, it will probably get more attention over there and there are some bigtime Boston collectors who frequent there.
