I am glad you were able to add a glove to your collection. Scot had promised me one back in Dec and then myself with others were neglected for the better part of a month and a half. My guess is the glove you bought was the one he was going to sell me. He never bothered to follow up in email about it. Oh well...

For all customers that were waiting for Adam's equipment during the Holidays we apologize. Sometimes the athlete becomes busy with family obligations and this stuff is put on the back burner. In this case Adam signed the items at his agents office then the agent shipped them to us.

I have been purchasing items from ESM for the past year and I too haven't really had an issue. I have listened to members express there concerns, but as of yet...only good things to report. ESM sends out an email with up coming sales and events. The glove was listed on the email, which I received before they posted on GUU. I figured that by the time it made its way into the forum the glove had already sold and was no longer available (KJ probably bought it the second that he received the email, I was half tempted myself). Hope that might clarify.

To clarify, I am glad KJ has a glove. My issue is with ESM that held my money for 2 months, would not answer emails, then finally returned it and they knew all along I wanted a glove. When one came available I should have been given an opportunity. I received no email stating a glove was available, I only saw the posting here where it was not listed. That is where my issue lies...

i am sorry you didn't get the glove i got a message form esm saying adam dunn stuff was arriving on monday i belive so when i saw what they had for sale i was intrested the glove becouse i always wanted a game used fielders glove in my collection and i called that day and told them i would buy it sight un seen. i am sorry you didn't get it the only thing i can think is there might of been a misunderstanding with scot i am not sure, i can't say........... i hope you don't hold ill will against me i am on the fourm to help people in anyway i can and i can only hope i can get help from people as well........

No problem my friend. You bought it fair and square. Scot does not seem to remember our conversation. All he saw was an instant buck. You were in front of him, that is all he cared about. Thoughts of a conversation we had in Jan. were far from his mind I guess...

The same thing happened to me with the Dunn glove. I received an e-mail from Scot at ESI and called him immediately about the glove. He took my credit card information and charged my card for the glove. He then calls me back a few days after charging my credit card and tells me the glove came in w/o any use. I told him I still wanted the glove and to send photos. He said Ok and never sent me the photos. He gave me BS excuses like their server was down.

The next thing I see is your post on purchasing the glove. I am not mad at you. I am mad at ESI for being dishonest. I am so tired of dealers not telling the truth and trying to take advantage of us.... There are some very good dealers out there and we need to only buy from them and refuse to purchase items from the bad dealers and auction houses.

This forum helps us point out to other collectors the dealers and auction houses who cause problems and sell bogus stuff. I believe ESI violated the SC Unfair Trade Practices Act with the way they handled the Dunn glove sale...........

Here is another example of problems at ESM. The buyer says the glove was pounded with use, SB says Scot told him it came in with no use at all. Bottom line is he had a guy (KJ) who was likely willing to pay good money right now and dumped everybody else. It just goes on and on.

Friday Scot emailed about the glove incident, complained about the poor press he is getting here, and said he'd go over current inventory with me, make an effort to make things right, the olive branch. I can't say I had huge interest in the items he said are left. I mentioned the jersey but realized he has it on ebay. He offered to remove it from ebay - but I declined. I know originally he had it at $500, and I doubt this jersey could reach that in auction myself. He also made a statement that nobody had purchased one pair of batting gloves that are embroidered. Amazing comment as I just saw a pair sell from him last week for $100+. Again, truth will set you free. KJ, post some pics when ya can, and remember, nobody has an issue with you. We just do not like being lied to repeatedly.

That would be the case if everything that has been written about him and Elite were true and without a defense one can only conclude that all the negative posts about him and Elite are true. Here is some wild speculation on my part about what I think happened with the glove from reading the posts on this thread. He got the glove, sold it, but before it went out he got a higher offer and sold it to someone else. Then he covered his hiney with a "no use" excuse for not selling it to the original guy.

Again, just my wild guess/interpretation of what may have occurred.

Yes, we had communication Friday afternoon. Besides what was written earlier he said he had this and that, but in the last 48 hours I have not rec'd one picture. I thought it was very funny when he said he had not sold one embroidered b/g but yet I had seen a red and white pair he sold on ebay go for just over $100 a day or so earlier. Amazing...

What do you guys think of those cleats on EBAY, I am really tempted to make a purchase even though we know who is selling them. Do you guys trust that the stuff is honestly game used? Some of the Dunn stuff shows little to no use (jersey, hat) so I wanted to know what you thought of the cleats? I know some will say don't buy from them, but when they are dealing with one of your favorite players it is hard.

I personally have had issues with Elite that are well documented here; but I like the cleats, the use, and will make a run on them. Not sure what extent I will do it, but will anyway.
You ever met Dunn? I have followed him for years. I think he is one of the most underrated players in the game. Maybe a change of sceneary would assist for his appreciation?
