Absolutely incredible...I just hung up with Todd at the PFF and the entire stock of 2005 game used equipment is sold out. There will be no more game used material from Albert's MVP season available through the Foundation. According to Todd, everything sold out in 19 minutes.
Do you know what model bats they are selling, store model or genuine louisville sluggers?
Listed on his website is an autographed unused genuine LVS M-9 bat for $899. I'm concerned that anyone could purchase one, add a little pine tar, hits some balls with it, write Albert's number 5 on the ends and sell it as a game used bat for much more.
It is my understanding that the bats being sold by the PFF are the same bats Albert would use in games. However, Todd Perry is very familiar with this hobby and we talked at one time about some discreet measures that could be taken to mark these auto'd/unused bats. I'll follow up to see what I can find out.
FYI The $450 was for 2 game used gloves and they are both signed. The game used hats were the same cost. Not sure if that is on the high end or low end. They had 5 pairs of gloves, not sure how many hats. Seeing it sold in 19 minutes, maybe it was low end???
I bought a hat, mainly bc I really wanted something of his, and all the stuff on ebay/any auction scares me.
I am wondering how the items sold out so fast. Does the Pujols Family Foundation leak the info about the items going up for sale to certain dealers who they know?
G/U hats were priced at $450. I don't know for certain, but I'd guess the first couple people to call bought everything offerred, that's how it went so fast.

The fact of the matter is that the head of Pujols Family Foundation is a buddy with Rob Steinmetz and a few other big time Pujols collectors. I don't doubt they were tipped off when the avarage person would not have had a clue. Maybe they can release a date and time in the future when the stuff will go on sale and put limits on the amount of items you can buy the first day. I bet Rob snatched up a few items if he was tipped off.
No bcuz people watch the site regularly waiting for something to be offered and as soon as it is everyone tells there friends. Plain and simple
So they happened to check it within 17 minutes? I would bet that certain people knew when the stuff was going up for sale. Rob Steinmetz sent out an email a few days later with multiple items for sale with Pujols signed letters from the foundation. I doubt Rob checks the site every hour unless he knows something is about to be for sale. It's all about who you know and Rob knows the people close to this generations Babe Ruth. Imagine having a hookup with the Babe!

Just wondering, where do you get your information?
