    A-Rod , Griffey auto'ed balls

Just throwing this out there. If there's any interest you can email me and make an offer. I have auto'ed ARod and Griffey balls from their days in Seattle. Balls were purchased from QVC during one of their Upper Deck shows . Email me at: paulsmachetti@yahoo.com
PS: Also have a Soriano ball and a Dave Winfield.
    Thanks.

    Re: A-Rod , Griffey auto'ed balls

I've had a few responses to the balls and have been asked how much I'd want for the pair. My response has pretty much been that I'm not really sure what to ask. I looked at the Steiner site and saw an ARod ball for $300 plus. I know that's a bit outrageous . One person expressed an interest and asked for a price so I stated I was looking for $140 for the pair, because this was the amount I needed to pick up a jersey i was looking at. I figured that sounded fair based on what I've seen for prices. The guy emailed me back and said it was too high. He said that he was finding ARod balls on ebay for @ $40 and Griffey balls for @ $25. Is this what the market value is for these? Just curious. Is Steiner gouging customers that badly?

First off i don't claim to be an authenticator.I scan ebay sometimes for hours at a time looking at certified(Upperdeck,Topps,Donruss etc) trading cards and also at signed memorabilia. If someone says there getting AUTHENTIC Griffey and Arod balls for those prices they are obviously mistaken. When shopping for authentic auto's on ebay unless it comes with a COA from a company like Upperdeck,Steiner,Mounted Memories,Tri Star etc then you must really do your homework. If i'm gonna look to buy something like a Arod autographed ball thats not authenticated by a reputable company i will compare the actual signature to as many certified examples as i can.And even then your not 100%.Steiner is unrefutable authenticity which is why you pay so much for there products. An expensive piece of mind.To the guy that said he got those two balls at ridiculously low prices, either he's lying or they are fake cause authenticate balls of Griffey or Arod go for much more. And thats a fact!

If your Arod and Griffey balls are indeed UD and genuine, $140 for the pair is a steal if you ask me. I am sure you have much more than that invested in them. A person cannot, as pretty much stated in the previous post, base autograph prices by ebay. 9 out of 10 autos on ebay are obvious fakes. I cant believe some of this stuff gets bids.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately for me I have been unable to locate the COA's on these balls. I've had them for about 8yrs. I am a small time collector so my record keeping is a bit shoddy.I till have some LOAs for jerseys I no longer own. I have been digging through all my stuff to no avail. I think they were probably misplaced or lost when we moved to our new house in '03. Oh well. I've been trying to recall who QVC used back then as their MLB memorabilia supplier.Again thanks for all the input.

QVC usually uses Upper Deck a lot for autographed memorabilia. They have used them for years.

unless they have the upper deck hologram on the baseballs, they are probably scoreboard. qvc and home shopping net mostly sold sb back in those days.

There are no holograms on the balls so perhaps they're SB. These balls were probably purchased by my wife sometime between '97 - '99
