UPDATE: The autographs appear on a Lawrence O'Brien Spalding NBA basketball. This is a one year style basketball. I was emailed the following information:

-Wilson made the the official NBA basketball thru the 1982-83 season.
-Then switched to Spalding for the 83-84 season.
-Stern took over in the early part of 1984.
so the Spalding games balls with the Lawrence O'Brien stamp were only around around for one season, if that.

Finally, Andrew Toney did sign the basketball.
