Joe Mauer and Brian McCann GU bats

    Hello all,

I have 2 GU Mauer bats and 1 GU McCann bat for sale.

The McCann GU bat is a uncracked black Striker brand with his name and team on branded into it. It signed "Brian McCann 16" "Game Used 05 Rookie Year". This bat has a taped handle with pine tar and plenty of ball marks. - $550

I have 2 Joe Mauer Gu bats both are Rawlings and both are uncracked. One is from his 2004 Rookie season and the other is from his 2005 first full season. Both show a few ball marks and pine tar. Both are branded "Joe Mauer" -PRO- so you know they are real. Both have serial #'s on the knob.
    2004- $800
    2005- $650

Brian McCann and Joe Mauer are two of the best AND youngest catchers in the Majors. Both are batting around .350 with awesome defensive stats to match! Get these before they really become untouchable like the other greats.

Email me for pics or if you have any questions.....

After seeing Mauer tear apart all the pitching he has faced recently, I can't believe no one is inquiring on the bat. I know Mccann is injured, but he will hit when he gets back.

The Mauer bats just went up.

    2004 GU bat- $1000
    2005 GU bat- $700

    2005 Mccan Auto GU bat - $600.

          That may be true,

But I am still somewhat attached to them so I don't want to let them go unless I get a good price, and since they are doing so well, I figured I'd increase it.

The bats will be worth that much for sure. You can hardly find any of his 2004 RC Gamers especially uncracked. Same for his 2005's.

If he keeps like this it won't be long before I get an email from someone to buy.

Surely after all that Mauer has done now, you have to believe these bats are as valuable as my price. Mauer is simply one of the best hitters in the majors period. And Mccann is back on the scene batting 4-7 in his last 2 games.

By asking if we believe the prices you are asking for these bats are in line with how valuable the bats are you are asking our opinion. My opinion is that the value of your bats are based on what someone is willing to pay. Apparently after you listed the bats at one price and nobody bought them you then raised the price....and still no takers. It is tough to base the value of an item based on how the player is performing. It has more to do with the demand for the bat which usually is in corralation with the players perfromance. In this case the demand for a Joe Mauer 2004 bat is not in demand for $1000. What I really think is that you are still to attached to these bats to really want to sell them. Realistically I think your bats are priced about twice what most would pay but maybe you will find that big Mauer fan out there. In a different thread on this same board a different user posted a 2004 Mauer for $410. Again all this is just my opinion. Others may feel differently.

This is what im thinking about these bats.If you are still attached to these keep them because in the long run you may think back why did i get rid of the bats.Even though im sure you can get your hands on others now or in the future.

Well, as far as the other 2004 bat for sale, that bat has a crack. Mine are uncracked. Very hard to come by for Mauer bats. Second the bat he is selling is a LS, and Mauer typically only uses Rawlings Pro bats. Maybe early on he started with LS (as most players do).

Just a matter of time before someone will buy. If he wins the batting title, it will happen.
