Hello everybody,
Congratulations to the NBA Western Conference Champion Dallas Mavericks, who have reached the NBA Finals for the first time.
MeiGray is proud to announce that the Mavs-MGG Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program will offer to collectors one set of home and one set of road jerseys that will be worn by the Mavs in the 2006 NBA Finals vs. the Miami Heat.
Each jersey will be affixed with the 2006 NBA Championship Trophy patch. Each set is individually numbered and security-tagged by Mavs-MGG, just as all the Mavs' jerseys were during the 2005-2006 NBA season.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Mavs-MGG Authentication Procedures, every jersey worn during the 2005-2006 season by each Mavs player contains an individually numbered, counterfeit-proof, security tag sewn beneath the Reebok tags in the hem.
After each game, numbers were checked and game-by-game logs were recorded so the games in which each jersey was worn could be identified and listed for collectors who purchased or pre-ordered jerseys through our program.
The Mavs wore two sets of jerseys during the regular season, a third set during the first two rounds of the playoffs, and a fourth set during the Western Conference Finals. This fourth set will also be worn throughout the Finals, with the exception of Game 2. Due to NBA requirements, the Mavs will be wearing a new set for Game 2.
The jerseys worn in the Finals will be inventoried after each game, so Mavs-MGG will be able to conclusively identify that each jersey was worn as described above.
Collectors have already reserved a number of jerseys, but here is what is available of the home white and road navy game-worn Finals jerseys:
