    Bats For Sale - Schmidt, Mattingly & More

    Hello GUU and Forum Members - I have a few AWESOME bats for sale. For those of you who have bought from me in the past ( and many of you have ), you know I only collect quality stuff and I don't collect any junk at all. Every once in a while I move a few QUALITY ITEMS and these items must go.     (1) Don Mattingly - 34" early 90's T141 Cooper Natural Finish Game Used Bat - shows awesome use on the right side of the barrel - perfect for the lefty Mattingly. Deep seam and ball marks on that side. Bat is signed and dated. The Bat is uncracked and has #5 on the knob - a perfect Mattingly trait. Purchased from owner who received directly from Mattingly - NDW / NPM - PRICE SHIPPED - $1,025

    (2) Mike Schmidt - matches perfectly to Louisville Slugger factory records.....UNCRACKED - Heavily Used K55 / 1977 - 1979 Louisville Slugger Block Letter Game Used Bat. Bat dates to 1979 Shipping Records, although I purchased from seller who obtained the bat DIRECTLY FROM SCHMIDT during the 1980 World Series Championship Season for the Phillies. Schmidt's #20 on the knob in bold black marker. Bat has a cupped end. Schmidt had a contract with Adirondack and thus his Louisville Slugger Bats were block letter models. One of the nicest Schmidt bats I have handled - Buy a pre-steroid 500 HR Club Member FACTORY DOCUMENTED BAT WITH GREAT PROVENANCE before they get out of control. NDW / NPM - PRICE SHIPPED - $1,875

    (3) Keith Hernandez - 1974 ROOKIE YEAR Game Used Bat - Gorgeous R43 Signature Model Bat with #18 on the knob - the number Hernandez wore during the 1974 season. Obtained from Cardinals Bat Boy - PERFECT PROVENANCE & MATCHES PERFECTLY TO Louisville Slugger SHIPPING RECORDS FOR 1974. Bat has incredible use and tar with a repaired upper handle crack ( perfect ) - gorgeous use with ballmarks, shoe marks and cleat marks. I can't imagine finding a better Hernandez bat in the market - ROOKIE YEAR - PERFECT BAT. Bat is also auto'd on the sweetspot in blcak marker. NDW / NPM - PRICE SHIPPED - MAKE OFFER.

    (4) Dave Winfield - 1980 to 1983 W273 Signature Model Hickory Finish Bat. Bat is UNCRACKED and shows great use and tar. NDW / NPM - Comes with John Taube ( PSA/DNA ) COA. One of the nicer Winfield Yankee bats I have handled. PRICE SHIPPED - $675

        Jim-Give a second on why Mattingly used "5" on his bats,as you mentioned in your description.-thanks

          During the mid to late 80's, as Mattingly became one of the most popular players in the game, his bats were being stolen from the dugout / clubhouse. He started penning retired numbers on the knobs of his bats to throw people off. I have owned several Mattingly bats with numbers 7 and 5 on the knob.
