Prior to every home NFL game, there are 72 footballs prepared for the game. 60 are game footballs while only 12 are “K” footballs. Over the past couple of years, the authentic “K” footballs have the “K” laser-printed onto the football by Wilson at the factory and are NOT handwritten.
Wilson ships these footballs separately from the regular game footballs and the NFL teams must store these footballs separately from the other game footballs. On game day, they cannot be handled by anyone except the officials and selected ball boys.
I have four “K” footballs from the 2005 season with the “K” laser-printed onto the football. They are $80.00 each plus $5.00 for P/H/I to US addresses only.
