David Cone 1999 World Series Jersey

Hello GUU and Forum Members - I have for sale David Cone's 1999 World Series Jersey that he wore in winning Game #2 during that series. Jersey is awesome - had Joe D #5 patch and armband for the passing of Jim Hunter, as well as the World Series patch on the right sleeve. Comes with Steiner COA. Looking for $3,000 shipped and insured or best offer - if anyone is interested, please contact me at jcaravello@nc.rr.com - thanks! jim

I'm still angry to this day that the Royals traded Cone away for NOTHING! One of the worst (and most incredibly stupid!) trades in baseball history.

As an Ed Hearn collector and personal friend of Ed's I take offense to that remark

It's amazing that even after 19 years the Royals and their fans are still mad about that trade which is absolutely one of the worst in team history. Ed took alot of heat during that time but he still resided in Kansas till this day. The story about the Royals Worst trade in history is often used in as an ice breaker story during his public speaking engagements.
