This may be a stupid question but why don't these helmets have ear flaps? Are they batboy helmets?

they do have flaps. look at the twins helmet; it is the angle the pic was taken.

I am pretty sure that if the helmet has two ear flaps the helmet is minor-league helmet , only one ear flap and it is a professional helmet . That's what I was told before . Is it true ? Any experts out there that can verify this info ????? Thanks , David

I'm dubious that any of these helmets saw any Major League action (due to no # identification, label directly under bill, etc.).

Not a helmet expert, but I do know Bronson Arroyo uses a helmet with both flaps on it for the Reds.

Actually 99.9% of the time the players use the 1 ear flap but it has been known from time to time they will use the 2 ear flap.

I was watching a game a month ago a team Vs. The Yankees and the announcers themselves pointed out how one of the opposing players was wearing a 2 flap helmet. They were saying it is not common but it does happen.
