    Tom Brandi,
First you told me it was sold after I made you the offer. If you remember I had asked you for specific images of the use on the bat/bats (there were two) you refered me to the listing which I had already viewed and requested additional photos which you never attempted to supply. Then I had asked for specific lengths of the bats - you said they were almost the same length (you never had the lengths listed). Step by step 1. Failed to supply additional photos 2. could not specify lengths, 3. you told me it was sold. With all that being said I was not comfortable bidding on the item (after you said it was sold) given all the above info plus I figured you did not want to sell to me for whatever reason. At any rate I am happy for you because you got $300 for it. I do not like your implication on the other hand. I have dealt with other forum members and have had successful transactions buying and selling. I have thousands of happy customers on ebay as well. I contribute when I can with whatever knowledge I may happen to have in that specific area. I enjoy this hobby and this forum. Not here to make enemies. So with that being said I wish you the best of luck in all you do. If your ever in Adamstown PA please feel free to stop by and say hello. Take Care

It's a shame there isn't an octagon for this group.

Would be interesting to watch, and participate in.

    Tom aka Begnya,
Not picking a fight but this will be the second time you have in my opinion insulted me on public forum (tire kicker are your words). I must now correct you since my offer was $200 not $150. You told me it was sold after I made you the offer. You listed it several times with a buy it now of $200 when it finally sold. I am sure I am not the only member who can recall this. In my opinion you have not only insulted me but probably alot people on this forum by refering to the group as tire kickers in the manner that you have posted. If you want I can post all of our emails since I have them all saved. This is a bit off track but I felt I should clear up your incorrect statement. Thanks for your time.

I was thinking about purchasing the bat to see how much I could get for it via trade or sell. I never made a purchase nor emailed Begnya about acquiring the bat. Just thought about maybe purchasing it to sell it and maybe pick up a couple bucks. I did tell Mahlom that I had the bat, becuase I thought that I was going to pick it up, and apologized to him repeatedly for offering a bat that I had not yet acquired. I actually emailed a couple people just to see what the interest was. One I saw the uprising over the bat, I lost all interest in purchasing it, and saw that the bat was sold anyways.

Looking back at my past e-mails, A.J also offered me the Howard bat as well. I sent him an e-mail about sending me scans of the bat but he never responded back and I was wondering what happened. After reading about all of this I am glad he never responded.

Since I just got another email from the third seller of this bat, trying to tell me how he is not guilty, and how I should just let this die...A J Kotchavar or bagwell collector, would be the third seller of the bat.

I have no idea the scenerio that took place, who is who, who is telling the truth but the outcome is an embarrassment to our hobby. I will never buy, sell or trade with any of these guys.

    Mahlon-
this is a forum that tries to provide info to the masses. Let's put an end to this madness and thread-who is the mystery man behind the bat?

Re: Beware of ClubhouseCollectables not Begnya!

I had an unusual experience with begnya concerning a Pat Burrell signed gamer that he had offered on ebay (i lost count of how many times it was listed) and had brought to the attention of the forum that it was for sale. After many emails back and forth we never finalized a deal as I was told it was sold (perhaps he did not like my offer?). Then I see it listed on ebay (again I lost count of how many times and then finally at the amount I had offered). No loss to either of us since no money exchanged hands - just a weird experience which kept me away from persuing the Ryan Howard bat. This is in no way an attempt to bash begnya but I believe we as a group should keep track of good, bad, and unusual experiences with each other since we do not have a feedback type feature that ebay does. I like to let forum members know that I have had a completed transaction with another forum member on the "props to sellers thread". Just my experience.

    Eric-
Let's add his previous "for sale" post to the list, too. Im referencing him offering the Daulton Phillies road shirt on this Forum, and claiming he obtained it directly from the Phillies auction. It was immediately pointed out that he purchased it a few weeks earlier on Ebay, and there was NEVER any indication on the original Ebay post that the jersey was obtained from the Phillies charity. Not only did he fabricate the charity auction point, he then lied about purchasing it earlier on Ebay.

    Daulton jersey-strike one
    Howard Bat-strike two

I wasn't defending anyone. i was just pointing out that you weren't exactly the person to talk. In fact you were around and responding to my emails when you were ignoring the questions (which you can find above in Reid's post)

My point simply was, you don't have much credibility in this situation given your behavior to forum members.

    Tom,

I mean this genuinely and not as a combative question. Are you ever going to answer Bobby's valid question about how you could definitively conclude that the Howard bat in question is one of his rookie bats? I would compare this to pulling teeth, but pulling teeth is actually much easier than getting you to answer this question. Perhaps you could "give up" after you answer the question that was the original basis for this entire discussion. If so, that would be great as this is the FOURTH thread on this topic, which is simply absurd (for proof, see below).

Eric, you make no sense to me! It's OK to blast me for not responding to a thread in a timely fashion, but you're going to defend a guy that tried to scam other forum readers. Let's go over this one last time for the mentally challenged. ClubhouseCollectables contacted me first with intent to buy. Everyone else was a tire kicker. Something that this site has turned into. The home of the tire kicker! I answered all his questions, we agreed on a price. He was sending payment on 9/11. Done deal. What I didn't know was this person had it flipped to someone else who turned around and used the scans I sent and listed it on Ebay. The problem was ClubhouseCollectables were trying to get their buyer to send the money without paying me. I gave them 9 days. When they stopped returning emails and the fact the money never showed up, I decided to put all on alert. I want to know where I did wrong besides having to be away on business so I can feed my family and wasn't living on this website to return a thread? I give up!
