This jacket is an Ohio University windbreaker/warm-up jacket that, from the Russell Athletic tagging, dates to the late 60’s or early 70’s. It is green and has the Ohio University patch sewn on the left breast and the Russel size M tag in the collar. It is autographed by Schmidt, who added “1968-71 O.U. Warm-up”.
This jacket was shown to Schmidt, who couldn’t be 100% positive that it belonged to him, but said that there was no reason that it couldn’t have been his. He brought attention to the size, stating that he typically wouldn’t have worn a medium, but also noted that the jacket looked large enough to fit him well.
