For sale is a rare circa 1895-1905 Hillerich & Son pro model bat. It measures 33 inches. It has the original tape and the initials AR carved in the knob. My brother emailed John Taube with photos and he verified the years from the label. A copy of these emails will come with the bat. This bat belongs to my brother who purchased it this past summer in NE Ohio from a gentleman who had a nice collection of bats. In my brothers research, the only player he could find with these intials was Hall of Fame pitcher Amos Rusie, (1889-1901). Although proving this to be his bat would be difficult. The bat shows wear as would be expected from a bat this old. It is uncracked and is a real beauty. Looking for $1200 plus shipping. Any questions, please email me at sanservitz@yahoo.com.
