Bats

Can you post photos of the inside 0062 tag? I purchased 2 home pinstripes, 2 road greys, 1 red away, and 1 home white alternate direct from Taveras and he told me they were his only ones from 2006. Just checking what is going on.

That's a great purchase! Although AJ has been asked by you for a photo of the tags, can you provide us with a group shot of the 2006 shirts and your tagging? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's interest is peaked. Are these shirts for sale, and if so, at what price?

On a side note, do the Astros allow the players to purchase their game jerseys?

If any one is interested in purchasing Taveras items, I can be reached privately through my e-mail below. The only Taveras items remaining are a 2005 Home Pinstripe, multiple bats, batting gloves, and some hats. My customer base in Houston continues to grow; however, multiple individuals have voiced they may want to trade-in their Taveras items with his recent move to Colorado, so more items may be available soon.

The Astros are very tight with their jerseys, but have become more "loose" in the past few years. I am not aware of their agreements with all players; however, from time to time I do strike a deal with some individuals. The Astros have sold most of their items in bulk since 1994 when the Hartels bought all the 1994 first year style (first year not with the rainbow colors). The Astros sold their jerseys in bulk from 1994 through 1998. As far as I know, the Astros still have most of the 1999 to 2005 jerseys in storage. From what I have seen and heard, most star players jerseys are gone from the group, as they have been distributed by inside sources or through auctions. Some of my best pieces have come from insiders and auctions, but the common players remain in storage for bulk sale.

In addition, I have heard multiple stories from my sources of jersey "fights" between equipment man Dennis Liborio and players. For example, I have heard 2 stories alone of Jeff Bagwell having to demand that a jersey be given to a friend or associate while Dennis was claiming on a replica could be given. Needless to say, in both counts, Jeff prevailed (I own both of these jerseys now).

Hope this answers your questions. I think you have spoken with Dennis before, so he might be able to answer more questions since I do not have a good relationship with him.
