Hi Everyone,
I'm sure many of you have seen my post about this bat in the "recent pickups" section.
For those who haven't this bat is a 1907/08 Spalding Autograph Model Ty Cobb bat. The kicker is that this bat is that not only is this bat of professional length and weight, it is also hand turned making it one of only four known hand-turned Spalding Ty Cobb bats. Does not have the Spalding Trademark logo on the knob. Measures 34.5" (a length not available in retail bats) and weighs 38 oz. Has all the attributes of a Cobb gamer including light cleat marks and possible tobacco stains. No handle tape is found, however I have been told that was normal for early Cobb bats.
A near one of a kind piece for the serious collector. Email me for details.
