    AMERICA'S BAT --- The Book

Here is a link to a previous discussion on an additional reference book for Game Used Bat Collectors: AMERICA'S BAT:

I was able to obtain the last 7 remaining copies of the original publication after asking the publisher to search his storage areas, etc. I am keeping one and have sent two others to forum members. There are four copies (mint, unused) remaining which I will offer to forum members and guests before listing any remaining copies on Ebay on Saturday morning Feb 10, 2007.

Cost is $96.00 per book, which includes shipping. I will respond to emails in order in which they are received and give PayPal payment instructions. If possible, please put AMERICA'S BAT on the email subject line to make sure it is not overlooked... Send email to Jackitout7@aol.com

Here is a more detailed write-up about the book:

"Here is a mint, unused copy of AMERICA'S BAT , an outstanding reference for Game Used Bat collectors. This reference book is one of the most sought after, difficult-to-find, reference works in the hobby today. This limited edition, written specifically for the bat collecting hobby, has been out-of-print and virtually unobtainable for the past several years. The book was authorized by John A. Hillerich III, who allowed complete access to Louisville Slugger's shipping records during the writing of this book.

This invaluable reference book offers a wealth of information for collectors of Game Used Professional Model Baseball Bats. Easy-to-read charts containing over 1300 individual players, including Hall of Famers, Retired Players, and Active Players show the model number, length, and weight most commonly used used by each player during the player's career,

In addition to the individual players' information, this book contains chapters on The Beginning of Louisville Slugger, Company Growth, Historic Dates, Louisville Slugger Bat Finishes, and much, much more !!! This guide is equally valuable for the novice collector and the veteran collector alike.

This is a rare opportunity to obtain a copy of AMERICA'S BAT. It is a valuable addition to your Game Used Bat Collecting library, and is the perfect companion book to BATS, by Vince Malta, Bill Riddell, Mike Specht, and Ron Fox, The MastroNet Guide by Dave Bushing and Dan Knoll, Crack of the Bat by Bob Hill, and Vince Malta's soon-to-be-released A Complete Reference Guide to Louisville Slugger. This book contains information not found in the other reference works."

    Thanks for looking
