Phillies St. Patrick's Jerseys For Sale

    Forum Readers-

In 1986, the Phillies wore green pinstripe jerseys and matching pants for the first time ever on St. Patrick's Day. These uniforms looked exactly like the home white zipper front jerseys, however, green was substituted for the traditional maroon. Then, in 1989, the Phillies wore another version on St. Patrick's day. This time, the jersey was solid green, button-down, with white pants that have green pinstripes. Both years, the jerseys featured sewn numbers on front/back, and the players name also sewn on back.

The Phillies originally offered these at their ALCS auctions and as such, they are considered extremely rare. The 1986 version is more common, however, both are scarce.

Offered for sale are the following:

1986 St. Patrick's of pitcher Dave Rucker. Jersey, pants, belt and stirrups.

1989 St. Patrick's of manager Nick Leyva. Jersey and pants.

    $1,295. each plus $12.00 postage.

Will consider trades for other Phillies jerseys or jerseys worn by the Portland Beavers and Portland Mavericks.
