    Incredible Harvey Kuenn GU Bat

    One of the nicest 1950's bats I have ever owned - FOR SALE - Harvey Kuenn Louisville Slugger 1950 - 1960 era Game Used 016 Signature Model Bat. Bat is 35" - 32.5 ounces and is hammered with use all over the barrel. The bat is uncracked and has some slight grain separation on the back of the barrel from use and some very light deadwood on the barrel. Bat perfectly matches numerous Kuenn shipping records from the 1950's. You'll never find a nicer Kuenn. Kuenn was an All Star selection 8 times, was Rookie of the Year in 1953 and was a career .303 hitter - he was one of the better players during the 50s........

                  I just wanted to comment on this bat. I don't have the money for it, nor do I have anything you'd likely want for trade bait (all my bats are 70's and 80's Brewers)...I just didn't want to ignore the post.

                  The Kuenn bat is AWESOME!!

                          Jim,

                          I too agree that you have one gorgeous bat there. If I had that scratch available, that would be a wonderful addition to my collection! I hope that you get every penny for that gem as bats like that don't surface too often.

                          As an aside, if you find a Kuenn collector, I know of a Kuenn store model bat that I spotted somewhere. Its been there awhile.
