This is the only real Gwynn fielding glove I've ever seen. Alicia Gwynn wasn't peddling these back in the Gwynn flea market days. Ask Denny what he thinks about this one!

Before I relist and lower the reserve, I'll offer this to forum readers at $1799 delivered (way under what I have into it). The bidding was approaching $1400 when the auction ended. By far, the nicest Gwynn glove I've seen, and very few have entered the market.

I am not kidding when I say that I seriously thought about doing that. Actually, when I obtained the glove, I almost discarded the letter. However, it did come with the glove and some folks may appreciate having it. It is especially meaningless in this case, as the text is clearly cut and pasted from Denny's letter. Denny's letter is the only one of the three that matters. I talked with Denny about the glove at one point - he went over it with a fine-tooth comb, just as he always does. And, given the number of gloves he has reviewed over the years, I'm amazed by his memory for the details of individual gloves.
