For sale: 1999 Michael Barrett game used Montreal Expos bat
Bat is a Rawlings Big Stick, beautiful natural color, with 'Michael Barrett' and 'Expos' on the barrel. Bat has '456B' stamped into the knob, along with '383' order number (nice higher inventory number that implies regular season use) and '99' for year. Has 'Barrett' and '31' (bat weight) inked on the knob in typical Rawlings fashion. Bat measures 34 inches long. Bat shows moderate to good use on both sides and on hitting surface of barrel, with lots of bat rack marks, good pine tar in the upper handle, lots of ball seam marks (I count roughly 11 seam marks), a doughnut ring in the middle, and two good baseball ink lettering transfers. Under the pinetar on the upper handle, there are light line imprints that I assume mean there was once tape on the handle and removed, as the pine tar is on top of that. Bat has a TINY surface crack on the lower handle, literally just 3/4 of an inch long.
A great-looking bat with nice use.

Has 491B and 25 written on the knob end and inside the cupped end. Has model number (491B), order number (436) and year (9) stamped into the knob. Taube/Malta LOA says the '7' is missing in the year and says that is a common error at the Rawlings factory and does not affect the value of the bat. Has PSA/DNA sticker still affixed inside the cupped end. Price is $489 plus $15 shipping/insurance.
