Near mint, wool flannel replica "throwback" of 1940s Cleveland Buckeyes Negro League Baseball Jersey. Made by Ebbets Field Flannels, size X-Large. Measures 26 inches from armpit to armpit. Measures 33 inches from top to bottom, down back. "WORLD'S COLORED CHAMPIONS 1945" patch embroidered and sewn on sleeve. "CLEVELAND BUCKEYES" sewn on front in heavyweight felt, that is correct for the period. Number "1" sewn on back in heavyweight felt. TOP QUALITY with piped trim on button path, collar and sleeves. 1960s durene football jersey made by Spanjian, customized and distributed by Hempstead Sporting Goods, Hempstead, NY. All sewn-on numerals, stripes
woven within material. Measures 24 inches from armpit to armpit. Sleeves have been professionally shortened. Could be a college or high school from Long Island. Yellow with brown and white trim...very odd colors.
