Me and my friends were looking at the knob of the bat, and we all guessed that the second digit is most-likely a "4", so this bat would be from 2004. The first number is stamped fine but the second number was just barely stamped.

You're right....sorry about that guys. I was looking at the wrong set of numbers. The correct year number starts with a "0" but it's hard to see the second number.

That bats not a 1998, more like an 03-08. Its hard to read the year stamping in the photos.

For sale is a Chipper Jones game used Rawlings bat from the 1998 season. This bat shows light to moderate use with some dried pine tar and some rack marks. His number "10" is written on both ends of the bat. This bat was used while Chipper batted left-handed and can be style-matched to many photos from 1998. American Memorabilia sold this same model in 2008 for $348. My price is $275 OBO which includes priority mail shipping with delivery confirmation.
