Smithy, did you hook up with CCarp?

No - he rode the bus all four days - didn't come out into the dugout until the game had started and blew everyone off at the team hotel even though there was never more than 5 people there when he came out.

He shot us nasty looks when we even asked for his autograph shaking his head at us. He used to be a really nice guy - don't know what his issue was here in Denver.

Even Holliday - who use to treat me awesome when he was here - acted like a complete tool to the Denver fans.

In fact, the Cardinals as a whole were awful for autographs and acted like asses. There were a few exceptions - Yadier signed one day (as normal), Beltran signed on Get Away Day before getting on the bus (as normal), Matt did begrudgingly sign my bat over the dugout but pushed on the paint pen and ran the auto even after I told him the pen was charged and ready. A few of the young guys signed out front of Coors Field after games. Freese was another jack-ass.

Back to C Carp, I'm still trying to figure out - he's on the DL for his shoulder as a pitcher... he and Lance Lynn came back to the hotel in a limo one afternoon and then grabbed their GOLF bags out of the trunk. What is a guy with a shoulder injury doing golfing?

Sorry for the rant... it was just a crap week with the Cardinals over all.

I gave up on autos long time go. Skip was probably the best I've seen at games in recent years. Maybe Carp realizes this is his last week in baseball and was in a bad mood. He is very nice, as are the others (except Pujols), at the annual,WWU in Jan.

Don't think I like hearing Lynn is out golfing unless he is absorbing everything about Carp during his time with him.

Not sure what to think about Freese. He seems to be in a different world all year mentally, and I think it may cost him his job.

Not sure what you want signed, but if I have time and you buy the ticket and shipping I can get it signed for you at the WWU in Jan. Even though I think Carp will be retired by then, he will probably be there.
