Yes, he sent me proof. Team coas and stamps on all the Kent jerseys he had. Apparently he got to go thru all the jerseys and the USED ones had their tags removed. So what bothers me is that the Giants went head and made coas and put team stamps on all the ISSUED jerseys and sold them as game used. Some of us know who bought most of those jerseys. Proof that even team coas can't always be trusted. Thanks Hippo. All very interesting.

I was merely sharing my experience and observations in an effort to contribute to the discussion and education of forum members. My comment is limited to 2001 and 2002 Kent Giants jerseys. I have no knowledge about any other era Kent jerseys.

I think you are confussing Kent with Bonds. It was rumored that Bonds removed the tags post 2000. Bonds sold the 2001 jerseys with no tags as game used through his bonds authenticated company. They werent game used, they were selling so many that they used regular retail jerseys and claimed they cut the tags off. These jerseys were often the wrong size for bonds, but the size tags were removed and a bonds authentic patch were ironed on. there are many photos of bonds with his 2001 jerseys untucked that show the tags were still intact. Bonds even claimed they were fake and that he had all the 2001 game worn home jerseys.

Hippo-you'll have to back that up with some facts. I know Mike Quick (Giants expert) told me the players didn't have any rights to their jerseys or other equipment. It was the Giants property and the Giants obtained and sold the majority of Kent's stuff. Knowing kent too-he didn't give a crap about his game used stuff and why would even waste his time of removing the tags? What would be the point? I know he didn't care about his stuff either. I have his NLCS 2004 game 5 walk off HR bat. You would have thought he would have kept that bat for himself or his kids. Nope. I"ve collected Kent for a long time and I've never, ever heard that info that you stated until now. I've also never seen his stuff with tags removed. Please advise.

An interesting note, Kent often removed the tags from his post-2000 era Giants game jerseys. Ones with tags were usually only game-issued, although sold by the Giants as game-used.

Zane Burns has a Kent Astros cap up on eBay right now. Still up for 5 or 6 days.
