Just venting. Alot of items being ended early lately it seems. Last week there was a nice Mantle K55 which appeared to be a legit gamer ended in about a days time and a Harmon Killebrew which never made it to ebay (same seller as the Mantle). Oh well.

Where did you find that bat in the store models. And do you have a link to the mantle bat you were talking about i want to take a look at it. About 3 weeks ago there was a Bobby Doerr bat and a Frankie Frisch bat that i believe were game used but they also ended early. -

Re: Another one bites the dust
Honestly I have only tried to have someone end their auction early twice with no success at my offers. I ended up winning the items at a lower cost anyway. I realize alot of the fun is watching the item at the end (I sell on ebay as well). I quit trying to have auctions end early. Sometimes I like to see what an item will realize if it gets out of my range. Great for future reference. Would have liked to have that Maz piece though.Comment

I've gotten people to end their auctions early. I dont see any harm in that. Its their choice to end it early, just as its their choice to sell the item. They can sell it to whomever they choose.
The key is, you have to contact them very early in the auction and you have to throw a dollar amount at them that makes it worthwhile. I recently did that and picked up a bat that cannot be replaced in my eyes.Comment
