1935-37 era players photos

I have two players pictures who I need some help identifying. Anyone out there--I would appreciate some help. The Cardinal player I think is Pepper Martin but am I right? The New York player is a mystery. I picked up this album at an auction and the original photos were taken at Wrigley in 1935 and 1937 with dates and some players names written by the photographer on the back--but not these two.. Help anyone?? Thanks for any info.

I believe the New York player is from the New York Giants according to the jersey style and the "New York" font. It is consistent with the Giants road jerseys from 1933-1935 (could be 1936-37 also, but difficult to tell from the b&w photo - more likely '33-'35 though). Lazzeri was with the Yankees until 1937, and did not play with the Giants until 1939, when they had a slightly different style jersey. Can you post a scan of the backs of the photos?

Definately NOT Lazzeri. He only played for the Yanks and Cubs. Not sure about martin.
