Hornell Jersey

Hi

I won this Hornell jersey and wondered if it was from the Dodgers farm team. It is a number #4 thinking about having the Duke sign it. Any thoughts on it?

Cool uniform, but I think it's from the Hornell High School Red Raiders. The Wison tags are from the mid 60s to 1972. I don't think Hornell had a farm club then. I could be wrong and maybe another member can add some information.

Hornell had a farm club with the Brooklyn Dodgers up until 1956

Then the Hornell Redlegs until 1958 and then they left.

Stadium was knocked down around 1960

The highschool was built some where around 1963-64.

You mentioned you wanted to have the Duke sign your item. I assume your referring to Duke Snider?
I was just curious why?

He never played for Hornell.


Wouldn't make sense to ruin a Vintage Jersey, plus I wouldn't encourage someone else to get any ideas if somewhere down the line you decide to sell it. I am sure someone would buy it and try to sell it as a Duke Snider Game Used Minor League Jersey.

Hi

Hornell Jersey was going to have Don Zimmer or Duke Snider sign it. Just to have something different or unique. Everyone have a Duke Snider signed dodgers jersey. Same old same old, I thought with the number #4 and being a Dodgers farm team it might be alittle different. I hate collecting what everyone else has. I like my items signed to. I think it give alittle more to the item.
