Brooklyn Dodgers cap

Has anyone ever seen a game used Brooklyn Dodgers cap (the one I came across is allegedly from between 1947 and 1957) which has the "B" logo first attached to a wool backing strip which then is sewn onto the cap, rather than the "B" being directly embroidered onto the cap itself?

Dave: Thanks so much for referring me to the Mears article. It is exactly what I was looking for, and makes me feel a lot more confidant that the Dodgers cap which I have is legitimate.
