Vintage 40's Yankee ticket stub

I need help Id'ing these stubs. First off you will notice the date written on the stub is 5/31/48 a double header but the game is listed as game #20 which would make the actual game date 06-04-1948. Which lead me to dig a bit deeper and now has confused me, I seen people list these as 1948 and sometimes 1949. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It was probably the 20th scheduled home game but din't wind up being the 20th played probably due to rainouts. Not sure if its possible to track down a printed schedule from back then but it would be hard to otherwise figure out what games were rained out. Looking at the games that were actually played, its fairly simple to see that there had to be some rainouts in there.

Thank you, you may be right all would be needed would be a few rainouts and its a match. The answer was under my nose the whole time. Now off to go get
the box scores from these games. Thanks again.
