This one is funny. Auction item #547 on Grey Flannel - "Game Used" road jersey for David Wells. One problem: Wells only played for the Jays in 1992, and was released in 1993 (when he signed with the Tigers). The item description indicates that the jersey shows "game use". Looking at the photos, the wash tag appears brand new.

This is clearly a game-issued jersey that was made for Wells before the season started -- and was never worn in a game.

I agree.

Too bad Rudy isn't posting here anymore...I'd love to see what type of zingers he'd come up with on this one, since Blue Jays jerseys of this era were among his specialties.
